Account Structure
Account Types
1. Master Merchant Account
This is the top-level account representing the service provider or platform operator. It is created during onboarding and manages all downstream activities.
- It is required for all modes and programs (Gateway & MOR, B2B & B2C).
- The master merchant has their own CryptoConnect Wallet and Infinity Account.
- To begin, the master merchant must register, open an account, and pass KYC and KYB verification at https://www.interlace.money/sign-up.
2. Sub-Merchant Account
Available in the Gateway model only, sub-merchants are downstream clients onboarded by the master merchant.
Sub-merchants can be either individual customers or businesses. Each sub-merchant has:
- CryptoConnect Wallet: For receiving on-chain deposits (crypto settlement).
- Infinity Account: For receiving funds transferred from various sources including the CryptoConnect Wallet (fiat settlement).
Note
- Currently, only individual customers can complete the onboarding process online at https://www.interlace.money/sign-up.
- To onboard businesses as sub-merchants, please contact your Relationship Manager for offline submission and processing.
3. End-Customer Account / User Account
End-Customer Accounts / User Accounts are applied to B2C-Gateway modes. These accounts represent individual users or cardholders. Each cardholder must have a unique account where identity verification, wallet creation, and card binding occur.
- These accounts are created via API (Create Account, Submit KYC, Account Initialization).
Account Linking Logic
- One Master Merchant can have multiple Sub-Merchants.
- One Sub-Merchant can issue cards to multiple End-Customers.
- Each cardholder must be linked to an Account ID and Wallet.
- All financial operations (fund loading, card issuance) must reference the correct account ID in the request body.
